Meal Plan

Well our visit to the property yesterday was a little anticlimatic unfortunately. We weren’t able to get a tour around it after all, so just had to try and peek through the trees on the edge at it. It looked smaller than we expected for two acres, but again we only got to see a glimpse so it’s hard to say really. We may go up and look at it later and have our realtor meet us so we get a real tour, but he’s going to try and find out exactly where the property line is for us first. There’s a steep ridge behind it and if most of the land is on the ridge it’s probably not even worth looking. I’ll update though as we find out more.

In other news, I thought I’d post our meal plan for the week. This week Kris is introducing beef back in. From what we’ve read, beef allergies in adults are pretty rare, so we’re not expecting to have any problems. The goal is for him to have beef at least twice a day every day for a week. That’s why every single meal is beef-based (sorry vegetarians!). We may be from Alberta originally, but even so we don’t normally eat this much beef, I promise haha. At the end of the week if he’s not showing any symptoms the assumption is that beef isn’t causing problems. We bought the more expensive beef this week that is hormone and antibiotic-free. If there are no problems we’ll probably do a second week of beef and use the regular store-bought beef. We do normally buy the more expensive beef when we can anyway, but since we occasionally buy store-bought it will be good to know if that specifically causes any problems. Everything is from scratch except that we do use a red sauce as a base for our spaghetti sauce.

  • Steak, salad with homemade caesar dressing, scalloped potatos
  • Beef and vegetable stir fry
  • Pot roast with vegetables and potatos
  • Spaghetti with meatballs and sauce
  • Nachos with homemade taco seasoning and cheeseless nacho cheese
  • Shepherd’s pie
  • Hamburger casserole
