 I have been very much enjoying having a newborn around again. I forgot just how precious a tiny, squishy baby really is. It’s nice just because we like having [...]  Fiona Siobhan was born this morning at 10:39am after an intense labour! I’m lucky to live so close to her (within walking distance if I [...] I can’t remember if I’ve posted this yet, but as of a few months ago Meredith is mostly potty trained. At home, she’s pretty much 100%. We’ve even been leaving her diaperless most nights. While out and about, it seems to depend on a lot of factors about whether she will have accidents or [...] It has been just about two weeks now, and Meredith still hasn’t had an accident in the house. She will very clearly say “pee” or “poop” and/or go find her potty and independently sit herself down on it. Even if we’re busy, distracted, someone is over, nursing, etc. It’s great! If we’re out and [...] I’ve thought several times before that we were nearing the end of needing diapers, but it’s always ended up being a phase and we go back to needing diapers full time. However, it’s never been quite like this before. It’s usually been that she won’t have accidents as long as she’s naked, or she [...] It’s been a while since I last posted. We’ve had guests, and then been sick, and honestly, I just really haven’t felt like sitting down and writing much. I’ve been reading all my favorite blogs in my RSS reader, but rarely commenting. Partly too I read so many other blogs that are doing exciting [...] Some tidbits from the past few weeks and more: Meredith has been enjoying helping to dress herself for a while now. I kind of wish I’d taken more notice on when it started, not that it matters but I like to write things like that down in her baby book. Probably before she turned [...] There have been a few days lately that I wonder if Meredith will be out of diapers any time soon. Other days I think it could be any time. For one thing, she has been dry through the night a lot recently. She rarely wants to be pottied in the middle of the night, [...]  A friend once told me she knew she was a real mom the day she started talking casually about her daughter’s bowel movements.
