I’ve been a bit neglectful of my blog recently. Once again, I have lots to say and no time to say it in. It always seems to be the way. For today, here’s my Snapshot Sunday from yesterday. Potatoes from the garden. I’d almost given up on getting any potatoes this year. I misread how to grow [...] I’m both disappointed and very pleased with my garden. The back part, where the carrots, beets, onion, etc. were, sprouted a lot of sprouts very early, and then they just stopped growing. And then I found cat poo and there are paw prints from something digging. I’ve given up on anything growing there until I can [...] My very first homegrown food ever! My family had a garden growing up, but this is different. We did all the work ourselves. It’s such a small thing in the scheme of things, but hopefully the start of something much bigger. Meredith and I shared the strawberry, and it was delicious. We bought some strawberries from [...] My garden is coming along well for the most part, though I’ve had a few casualties. My dog ripped out one of my bleeding heart plants. I ended up transplanting our hydrangea where it used to be as I’ve read hydrangeas don’t like full sun anyway and it gives me more room for veggies. Last night [...] All right, so I finally got some pictures I promised of how my garden is coming along, and even got them uploaded. I debated whether to repost pictures from last year, or just link to the posts. I decided I’d like to see the before and after pictures together, so I’m reposting the pictures. This could [...] I thought I’d posted this last year but I searched and can’t find it. Whether I did or not though, it’s worth posting again. This family really inspired me last year when I was feeling a bit down about how tiny my yard is and whether I’d ever be able to grow anything in the terrible [...] Remember my garden from last year? And the ambitious plans I had for it? Some of those are coming to fruition this year. I was going to take pictures but then the sun went away, so I’ll take some pictures later and post them.
